Transition Projects Welcomes New Board Members

The Transition Projects Board of Directors — focused on high-level strategy, oversight, and accountability — is pleased to welcome four new members. We invite you to learn more about each person and join us in welcoming them to the team!

Shawn is the Grant Coordinator and Advisor of two Scholarships at Portland Community College, that aim to diversify the Addiction Recovery and Mental Health Support Workforces with historically targeted, marginalized, and oppressed community members, to best serve those communities, and more.

Shawn is also a Marine Corps Combat Veteran, with more than eighteen years of honorable service. Finally, Shawn is a proud son and father, who covets truth, health, love, equity, justice, and legacy.

DeWanna’s lived experience as a Black woman and long-term Portland resident has been foundational in her desire to collaborate and champion efforts to address the needs of our houseless neighbors. Her background includes more than 15 years of trauma-informed support, training, coaching, counseling and being an equity practitioner.

Alan Shoebridge is the Associate Vice President for National Communication at Providence. He leads a diverse, multi-state communication team responsible for internal communication, public relations, issues management, labor relations and DE&I initiatives. Alan has also held senior marketing and communication leadership roles at Kaiser Permanente and Salinas Valley Health. Alan has more than 20 years of direct marketing and communication experience for healthcare and medical insurance organizations.
