Donate Items

Give your goods a second life by donating to support the basic needs of individuals experiencing homelessness.

Your donations ensure our participants are warm, clothed, and have access to essential personal hygiene items.

What can I donate?

We ask you to donate mindfully and follow the guidelines below:

  • Clothing should be in-season, our storage space is limited.

  • Clothing should be free from rips, tears, discoloration, stains and holes.

  • Clothing should be clean and laundered, free from pet hair.

  • Items should be from smoke-free homes.

  • Hygiene items must be new and unopened.

We CANNOT accept any of the following:

  • Children’s items (clothing, toys, books, etc.)

  • Household items (pots/pans, furniture, silverware, etc.)

  • Sports equipment

  • Formal wear (suits, ties, fancy dresses, high heels, etc.)

  • Medical equipment (wheelchairs, crutches, canes, etc.)

Urgent Needs:

  • Men’s underwear

  • Women’s underwear

  • Towels

  • Men’s pants

Donation Drop-Off

Donations can be dropped off at 665 NW Hoyt St:

  • Monday 9:00 a.m. – noon

  • Wednesday 3:00 – 6:00 p.m.

  • Friday 9:00 a.m. - noon

Please call 503.280.4700 if you need help unloading your items.

If you cannot drop-off during this time, please contact volunteer@tprojects.org to schedule an appointment. We cannot accept unscheduled drop-offs outside the above times.

We are grateful for your generosity, and we also need to make changes for the sustainability of our in-kind donations program. You help us reduce expenses and staff and volunteer time by allowing us to decline items that we cannot accommodate. Thank you for your understanding.

Donation Pick-Up

If you are unable to drop off your donations, we offer a pick-up service for $35. Please allow 7-14 days for pick-up, and note that this service may be unavailable during busy times of the year. For more information or to schedule a pick-up, please contact us at volunteer@tprojects.org.

Please Call Ahead for Large Quantities

Please call to schedule a drop off time before donating or delivering large quantities (5+ bags) of items. We have limited storage space and will need to make plans to accommodate your generous gift.

Purchase Items From our Amazon Wish List

If you are seeking to donate but are unable to drop off items in person, purchasing items off of our Amazon Wish List is the best way to get supplies to us quickly.
