Putting the “Kind” in Gift In-Kind

Transition Projects hands out tens of thousands of donated items each year to participants throughout our housing, shelter, outreach, and Resource Center programs.

Every single gift counts, but donations from businesses allow us to achieve the scale needed to serve all of our participants.

Clothing company Bombas was one of the businesses that played a vital part in caring for Portland’s most vulnerable in 2023.

As part of their mission to donate one item for each item purchased, Bombas sent us 10,000 pairs of socks for our participants. That’s enough to give out 27 a day for an entire year!
