We support individuals who have served in the military and their household who are experiencing homelessness or are in imminent risk of homelessness, with the goal of helping them find and keep safe, affordable housing in the Portland metro area.

We offer a variety of supportive services to veterans (including National Guard or Reserves), depending on eligibility including, but not limited to:

  • Income development

  • Connection to health and wellness resources

  • Help accessing shelter/short-term residential programs

  • Individualized housing case management services

  • Temporary financial assistance

  • Homelessness prevention services

  • Access to legal assistance

  • Benefits advocacy

  • Tenant education courses

  • Assistance in accessing VA services

  • Childcare resources

  • Connection to disability increase advocation

  • Assistance with discharge status upgrade

Transition Projects is CARF® International Accredited

Portland Veterans Stand Down

Oregon’s largest – honors and supports Veterans, who are often either experiencing or at-risk of homelessness. Women and men who have served in the military access essential supportive resources and services, employment and connections to local, state and federal support. This community-led partnership combines local nonprofits, government officials, corporations and businesses to welcome more than 400 veterans annually.
